Luke Jones, of Leesburg, put the pedal through the floor of his 2007 Corvette on May 11 while on Virginia Route 7, Leesburg police said. An officer recorded him going 133 MPH in a 45 MPH zone.

The officer snapped a photo of the radar gun after they chased Jones down. A Leesburg police spokesperson told WTOP that this was most likely the fastest they've ever recorded someone driving.

Police charged Jones with reckless driving by speed.
